Modified Oxford Listeria Supplement is used with Oxford Listeria Agar Base as a supplement for the selective enrichment of Listeria spp. in foods in a laboratory setting. Modified Oxford Listeria Supplement is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.

Preparation
  1. Suspend 57.5 g of the medium in one liter of purified water.
  2. Heat with frequent agitation and boil for one minute to completely dissolve the medium.
  3. Autoclave at 121°C for 10 – 15 minutes. Cool to 45 – 50°C.
  4. Reconstitute 2 vials of Modified Oxford Listeria Supplement and aseptically add to 1 L of the sterile medium.
  5. Dispense as desired.
