Tony's Tech Tip: What does MRM stand for and why should I use them?

MRM stands for mycotoxin reference material and this is a naturally contaminated sample that's been verified by multiple methods, usually by HPLC or LC-MS, and it's going to have a consistent assign value to it.

Technicians can then use that sample, tested as if it were an unknown, and then determine if they're getting the correct result.

These types of samples are offered by Neogen Corporation as well as other vendors.
