Tony's Tech Tip: Is particle size of a ground sample important?

This is a very common question and the answer is, yes, it absolutely is important!

The reason is that mycotoxins, because they are embedded in different grain particles, need to be released so that they can be properly extracted.

The USDA recommends a grind size that suggests that 75% of the material will go through a 20 mesh sieve and what this looks like is the consistency of about instant coffee if you want to think of it that way.
