The USDA’s December 8 bulletin reported above-normal temperatures in Montana and the northern Plains and the northeast. Cooler temperatures spanned the southern Rockies to the southeast. A storm system brought precipitation to the central and southern Plains, later moving over the southeastern and Atlantic coast states. The eastern Corn Belt and northeast experienced snow that slowed the corn harvest’s final stages. Drought continues in the northeast, parts of the Corn Belt, and throughout the west.
We have a deoxynivalenol (DON) report in spring wheat in ND, along with reports in wheat.
