The tropical storm Eta interacted with a cold front, leading to heavy rain across the middle and southern Atlantic. Precipitation also fell on the midwest, pacific northwest, and northern high plains. Corn development is highly variable within some fields. 95% of corn is harvested, 22 points ahead of last year and eight points ahead of the five-year average.
