Monday Mycotoxin and Crop Report for July 20, 2020

July 20, 2020

Corn Highlight

  • 69% of corn is in Good to Excellent condition, 11 points ahead of last year
  • Nationally, 29% of the crop is silking, 15 points ahead of last year and 3 points behind the 5-year average

What does this mean?

Corn development is highly variable within some fields. The overall national condition of corn crops is improving and in better standing than last year's records. National silking is also improved from last year, yet just behind the five-year average, while 3% of corn acres are in the dough stage, following the previous five-year trend.
