Speakers:
Tony Lupo – Senior Director of Technical Services
Tony Lupo oversees Neogen’s Technical Services department, which is responsible for providing global technical support for Neogen’s comprehensive line of food safety products totaling $250 million in annual sales. Prior to Neogen, Tony held positions with Oxford Biomedical Research as a Research Scientist developing in-vitro diagnostics for various human and veterinary applications. He has served on the AOAC International Board of Directors since 2016 and is the current AOAC Treasurer.
Stuart Heller – Sales Manager at Neogen
Stuart Heller graduated from Queens College in 1978 with a BA in Secondary Education. He went on to complete his M. Ed in Administration and Supervision from Georgia State University in 1980. Heller has spent the past 35 years working on the development of biosecurity products and programs and has pioneered the use of foaming applications and aerosol spray disinfectants in the food animal production industries. In addition, Heller has developed private label relationships to manufacture disinfectants for the human healthcare market with; S.C Johnson, Spartan Chemical, The Butcher Company, and Brulin Corp.
As a recognized leader in the field of cleaners and disinfectants and biosecurity, Heller took two unknown disinfectants and made them industry standards; Tek-Trol Disinfectant, a phenol-based compound, which became the recognized industry standard from the late1980s to the early 2000s and Synergize Disinfectant, a quat/glut-based compound, which has been, and continues to be, the industry-standard since 2004. Heller is a frequent presenter at biosecurity seminars, and distributor meetings, and has worked closely through the years with many of today’s leading veterinarians, universities, and production companies, looking for ways to refine and improve upon current biosecurity measures.
Katlyn Connelly – Product Manager at Neogen
Katlyn joined the Neogen team in 2016 to manage the C&D portfolio. She is also responsible for the Water Treatment, Animal Care, and Tetradyne Dairy Hygiene Offerings. Before joining Neogen, Katlyn worked for Tyson Foods in the Live Production segment, where her main role was servicing broiler farms. She completed her BS in Animal Science and MS in Animal Agriculture Production at the University of Illinois. During this time, she also participated in Reproductive Toxicology research projects.
Dr. Joe Lyman – Director of Professional Services and Product Development, Neogen
Dr. Lyman came to Neogen six years ago after practicing veterinary medicine for 12 years in Lexington, KY. His equine practice focused on herd health and assisted reproduction. In his role at Neogen, Dr. Lyman leads the veterinary team for Animal Safety as well as heading up the product development team responsible for bringing new animal health and biosecurity products to market.
