Rachel Gabato – Chief Operating Officer, Ripe.io
Rachel is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ripe.io, helping drive their mission to enable a platform where everyone can access transparent information on the origin, journey, and quality of their food. Rachel has over 20 years of proven management and leadership experience with private and public cloud-based technology companies. She has experience in different functional areas throughout her career, growing her knowledge of customer success, professional services, program management, and product management. Her professional career also includes stints in London and Hong Kong. As the COO of Ripe.io, she currently manages Product Management, Professional Services, and HR/Administrative functions. Additionally, she has served as an advisor to many start-up technology companies in the U.S. and Canada.
She holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University, where she also played NCAA Division I women’s basketball. She maintains her connections with Cornell as a mentor in both the Cornell Athletics Women of Color Mentorship program and as an Alumnae mentor for the Women’s Basketball team.
Philip Harris – Co-Founder and President, Ripe.io
Philip is a Co-Founder and President at Ripe.io, recognized by Forbes as “25 Most Innovative Ag-Tech Startups, Ag Funder’s Most Innovative Supply Chain Start-Up, and most recently received the Rabobank’s award for top 5 Emerging Leadership in Innovation. He brings 30 years of experience from global capital markets and financial services industry to the food and agriculture supply chains empowering a tectonic, once-in-a-generation digitization transformation. Andy Brudtkuhl – Director of Emerging Technology, National Pork Board
Andy Brudtkuhl serves as the Director of Emerging Technology for the National Pork Board. Currently, he is developing an innovation pipeline for the U.S. Pork industry, working with farmers, startups, accelerators, venture capitalists, universities, and partners in the pork value chain to build an ecosystem, invest in the future, and commercialize research. Andy regularly writes and speaks about agtech, blockchain, and analytics.
Tom Schultz – Director of Sales & Marketing, Neogen
Tom is responsible for the strategic direction of Neogen’s genomic business aligned to implementing genomic technology across multiple agricultural species with the ultimate goal of efficiently improving food quality and feeding the world. Through his leadership with Farming4Generations, Tom collaborates with international partners to effectively drive sustainability initiatives that carry a positive impact on dairy production worldwide. Additionally, Tom is responsible for leading the strategic objectives and implementation for sales and marketing teams globally. Neogen currently represents the genomic business with local genomic lab representation in Australia, Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and China.
Tom’s passion is to empower the agricultural industry with new technologies to implement on farms to meet the world’s need for quality food effectively. Tom joined Neogen in 2017 after spending 15 years in the animal health business, where he had the opportunity to launch several pharmaceutical products focusing on beef and dairy cattle across the United States, effectively increasing productivity and efficiency.
Tom’s expertise is leading and developing high-performance teams and setting strategic direction while connecting technology with production implementation. Tom is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys traveling the world, implementing technology, and working alongside cattle producers.
