LEXINGTON, Ky., Jan. 5, 2016 — Neogen has announced Ramik Green AG as a new addition to its current rodenticide portfolio. This new label carries a specific use pattern for the control of California ground squirrels, plains pocket gophers, moles, voles, rats and mice in a variety of field applications.

Neogen’s new Ramik® Green AG is the first federally registered 0.005% diphacinone rodenticide in the United States for the control of California ground squirrels using broadcast or bait station applications. Its labeled uses include extensive field applications in a multitude of crops for the control of pests in the agronomics market.

“Ground squirrels cause major economic losses, with estimates ranging from $30 to $50 million in agricultural and other damage annually just in California alone,” said Neogen’s Stacy Dixon. “Our new Ramik Green AG combines superior palatability and weatherability of Ramik Green with the proven active ingredient diphacinone to control California ground squirrels, plains pocket gophers, and other rodents of particular concern in agricultural fields.”

The Ramik Green bait system uses food processing technology to produce an extremely palatable and highly-attractive bait that retains freshness, sweetness and effectiveness in a long-lasting bait form. They are weather-resistant without wax, and provide an effective secondary food source for pests found in various agricultural crops.

Ramik Green AG has a broad range of applications, target pests and use directions tailored specifically for field applications. These applications include: the control of California ground squirrels in parks, fruit tree orchards, in or near crops; the control of plains pocket gophers on lawns, golf courses, forest areas, parks, nurseries, rangelands, grain fields, numerous crops, vineyards, tree plantations, and in fruit and nut tree orchards; the control of pine and meadow voles in fruit tree orchards, nut orchards, commercial nurseries and tree plantations; and the control of Norway rats, roof rats and house mice. Ramik Green AG is a restricted use pesticide. Contact Neogen for a complete list of applications and use directions or visit www.Neogen.com for a full specimen label.
