LEXINGTON, Ky., July 20, 2009 — Neogen’s new line of durable, very versatile veterinary injectors and new proven-effective rodenticide have been named as two of the pork industry’s “most promising” new products at the recent 21st Annual World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa.
The experts picked Neogen’s new MasterLine™ injectors and Di-Kill™ rodenticides as two of the most promising new products at the show.
The product selections were made by the 2009 National Hog Farmer World Pork Expo New Product Review Panel, which consisted of pork industry experts. The full list of nominated products appeared in the May 15, 2009 issue of National Hog Farmer.
“The selection of our two products by the esteemed pork industry panelists, provides further assurance to our many customers that our products perform as expected. We expect no less, and neither should our customers,” said Neogen’s Chuck McCann. “We believe that both products have outstanding features that make them unlike any other products out there—and the experts apparently agreed.”
The versatile MasterLine injectors are available in these styles:
- F-grips: Available in 0.5, 1 and 2 mL adjustable-dose units.
- V-grips: Available in 2, 6 and 10 mL adjustable-dose units. All V-shape handle applicators have the EZI-Flow Squeeze Adjuster™ to adjust the spring tension for an easier squeeze.
The injectors’ critical parts, such as the barrel body, bottle mount and needle connection are made of metal to avoid breakage, and it can be easily disassembled for cleaning. Their valve systems are designed to avoid small parts from falling out of the injector while disassembled, and products of different viscosity are no match for the EZI-Flow Squeeze Adjuster™.
Neogen’s new Di-Kill rodenticide uses the proven effective active ingredient difenacoum to control Norway rats, roof rats, and house mice in and around buildings, and inside of transport vehicles. Although difenacoum is newly approved the United States, it has been a time-tested active ingredient in rodenticides for years elsewhere. Di-Kill was formulated specifically to combine palatability with the exceptional lethality of difenacoum. The new rodenticide’s food-grade ingredients provide an excellent base for superior palatability, and difenacoum is an effective rodent anticoagulant capable of killing rats and mice in a single feeding.
Neogen Corporation (Nasdaq: NEOG) develops and markets products dedicated to food and animal safety. Neogen’s Animal Safety Division markets a complete line of diagnostics, veterinary instruments, veterinary pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, disinfectants, and rodenticides.
