LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 1, 2013 — Buying shoes will land a lucky winner a trip to the 2014 Kentucky Derby, courtesy of Neogen.
Cow shoes, that is.
Each eligible cow shoe or box of gloves purchased from October 1 to December 31 will earn the buyer one entry into a drawing to win a trip to the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby, which will be held May 3, 2014. The winner will receive derby tickets, airfare and hotel accommodations. Eligible products include:
- Demotec 95: These wooden shoes use a special resin developed for the treatment of lameness in cattle.
- Demotec FuturaPad: FuturaPad comes as one unit with no extra components needed. It polymerizes to the claw in only 15 seconds, even in the winter.
- Demotec Easy Bloc: This easy-to-use plastic slip-on boot fits almost all claw sizes.
- Ag-Tek® TrueBlack powder-free nitrile gloves: These gloves provide strength and durability for extended use and are available in four sizes.
Cow shoes help treat lameness in cattle by taking weight off of the affected claw, providing pain relief and promoting healing. “It’s a win-win for cattle owners — they can alleviate pain and discomfort from hoof problems in their cattle and also get a chance for a well-deserved vacation,” said Neogen’s Andi Branstetter. “A trip to the Kentucky Derby always is an exciting and memorable experience. Neogen is extremely pleased to be able to offer this opportunity.” To enter the drawing, send the entry form along with proof of purchase to Neogen via mail, fax (859/255-5532) or e-mail (dairydayatderby@Neogen.com) by December 31, 2013. The winner will be announced January 30, 2014. For full promotional details or a copy of the entry form, please contact Neogen or visit www.Neogen.com/dairydayatderby.
