LEXINGTON, Ky., July 30, 2015 — Neogen now offers Havoc® Rodenticide Bait, which combines superior palatability of a meal bait with the proven active ingredient brodifacoum to control warfarin-resistant Norway rats, roof rats, and house mice in areas where competing food or feed sources are present.
The food-grade ingredients of Havoc Rodenticide Bait provide an excellent base for superior palatability, and its brodifacoum is an effective second-generation rodent anticoagulant capable of killing rats and mice in a single feeding. The meal bait product offers superior rodent acceptance as it contains food-grade ingredients, seeds and grains, which provide rodents a variety of textures and flavors.
“Havoc Rodenticide Bait was developed with the understanding that bait acceptance is critical to the effectiveness of rodenticides. Rodents actually like the taste of this new product,” said Neogen’s Stacy Dixon. “We recommend using Havoc Rodenticide Bait as a supplement to a facility’s rotational baiting program to maximize its effectiveness by systematically varying the rodenticide offered to rodents. While any one rodenticide may significantly reduce a rodent population in the short term, we’ve found that over time varying the rodenticides used is even more effective to better control rodents.”
Havoc Rodenticide Bait is available in 25-pound bags of loose meal bait, and is EPA-registered for use inside and within 100 feet of agricultural buildings.
Neogen’s complete line of rodenticides also includes Havoc Attack brodifacoum-based blocks, Di-Kill® difenacoum-based products, CyKill™ bromethalin-based products, Ramik® diphacinone-based products, and Prozap® zinc phosphide products. Neogen’s rodenticides are available in a variety of formats (chunks, bars, etc.).
Neogen Corporation (Nasdaq: NEOG) develops and markets products dedicated to food and animal safety. Neogen’s Animal Safety Division markets a complete line of diagnostics, veterinary instruments, veterinary pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, disinfectants, and rodenticides.
