Video: How mycotoxin testing fits with FSMA

January 04, 2018

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) encourages the food industry to look at the sources of hazards being introduced to the food supply, and also for the best ways to mitigate those hazards.

To help the human and animal food industries meet these expectations, Dr. Cassie Jones presents “Mycotoxin Analysis: A Tool for FSMA Compliance,” a talk previewed in our 2017 Monday Mycotoxin and Crop Capstone Report. Click here to watch Jones’s presentation in full.

Jones is an associate professor at Kansas State University, as well as an editor on the Food Safety Preventive Control Alliance’s “Preventive Controls for Animal Food” training manual, which is used to train investigators, industry leaders and academics on FSMA’s Preventive Controls for Animal Food Rule.
