A Look at the Delta-8 Trends

March 22, 2023

Cannabinoid trends continue to show steady increases, and recent trends focus on chemical structure Delta-8. Since 2020, interest, use, and purchase — including online purchasing — has rapidly grown.

Prevalence of these cannabinoids came largely from the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, which authorized the cultivation, processing, and sale of hemp and hemp-derived products containing no more than 0.3% Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). As an outcome, a surplus of CBD began, leading to the manufacture of Delta-8 THC and its popularity since then. Our THC Ultra kit has been tested and proven to have good cross-reactivity with Delta-8 THC.

Individual state responses to this trend have varied, with some passing orders to regulate the way these cannabinoids are sold, which includes standards for packaging and labeling, and others ordering new regulations with very low levels of cannabinoids allowed in products.
