Salmonella Selective Supplement is intended for use in culture media for the microbiological analysis of food, animal feed, water, and environmental samples and is for use with:
  • NCM0270 Buffered Peptone Water HQ (ISO) DCM
  • NCM3207 Buffered Peptone Water HQ (ISO) (10 x 20 L ready-to-reconstitute bags)
  • NCM3402 Buffered Peptone Water HQ (ISO) (3 x 3 L ready-to-use bags)

PreparationPreparation for NCM4000-100 (1 vial of 100g)
  1. Using aseptic technique, remove the plastic screw cap. Aseptically retain the cap.
  2. Reconstitute the vial contents using the 100 mL of sterile BPW HQ (ISO) or sterile deionized/RO water as indicated in the table in the technical specification sheet.
  3. Replace the plastic screw cap and gently shake or invert the contents to dissolve.
  4. Add the reconstituted supplement described in the technical product information sheet for the One Broth One Plate for Salmonella workflow. Please note this supplement is to be added to each individual sample rather than in bulk to larger volumes to give flexibility with the broth.
Preparation for NCM4000-10C (10 Capsules)
  1. Aseptically remove 1 capsule from the container.
  2. Add or empty the capsule into a sterile universal or sterile container containing the appropriate volume of sterile BPW HQ (ISO) or sterile deionized/RO water as indicated in the table below.
  3. Cap the universal/container and gently shake or invert the contents.
  4. Leave the capsule to dissolve fully and gently shake or invert to ensure contents are mixed.
  5. Add the reconstituted supplement described in the technical product information sheet for the One Broth One Plate for Salmonella workflow.
