D/E Neutralizing Broth is for the neutralization and testing of antiseptics and disinfectants according to the procedure of Engley and Dey. It has the ability to neutralize antimicrobial chemicals and is useful during environmental sampling for the detection and enumeration of microorganisms present on surfaces of sanitary importance.
