LEXINGTON, Ky., June 25, 2014 — Neogen’s new Havoc® Attack rodenticide combines superior palatability with the proven active ingredient brodifacoum to control Norway rats, roof rats, and house mice in and around livestock and poultry facilities. Havoc Attack’s food-grade ingredients provide an excellent base for superior palatability, and its brodifacoum is an effective second-generation rodent anticoagulant capable of killing rats and mice in a single feeding. The new all-weather rodenticide was developed to withstand the often challenging conditions of agricultural production environments around the world, including the withering humid heat of summer months.

Havoc® Attack Rodenticide - Neogen“The old saying about horses and water also applies to rodents and rodenticides. You can put the most effective active ingredient in a rodenticide, but it doesn’t do you much good if the rodents are not attracted to the bait in the first place,” said Neogen’s Stacy Dixon. “That is how Havoc Attack stands apart from other available rodenticides — rodents actually like the taste of Havoc Attack, and will eat enough of it to be effective.”

Havoc Attack is available in 10- and 20-pound pails of bait blocks, and is labeled for use in tamper-resistant bait stations within 100 feet of agricultural buildings. Neogen recommends using Havoc Attack as part of a rotational baiting program, which varies the particular rodenticides used throughout the year.

Neogen’s complete line of rodenticides also includes Di-Kill ® difenacoum-based products, CyKill™ bromethalin-based products, Ramik® diphacinone-based product, and Prozap® zinc phosphide products. Neogen’s rodenticides are available in a variety of formats (chunks, bars, etc.), and their full range of available active ingredients lessens the chance that rodents will become resistant to one particular active ingredient.

Neogen Corporation (Nasdaq: NEOG) develops and markets products dedicated to food and animal safety. Neogen’s Animal Safety Division markets a complete line of diagnostics, veterinary instruments, veterinary pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, disinfectants, and rodenticides.
