RenaKare™ provides potassium supplementation for use in potassium deficient states in cats and dogs.

Caution: Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Warning: May cause hyperkalemia. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Frequent patient monitoring is advised. Adverse effects include gastrointestinal irritation, muscular weakness, twitching, irritability, and cardiac conduction disturbances. Potassium salts are contraindicated in animals with hyperkalemia, severe renal impairment or failure, severe hemolytic reactions, Addison’s disease, decreased gastrointestinal motility, and acute dehydration.
