Quality Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager to join our award-winning business at Heywood, Rochdale and Liverpool. This position is to cover maternity leave and will be for a fixed period of 12 months. Our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African, and Indian (EMEAI) territories for Neogen, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 1,800 people worldwide.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality activities meet with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety. legal stipulations and environmental polices.

The successful candidate will:

  • Monitor, measure and report on quality issues, opportunities and risks within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Work closely with local management, implement group strategy for quality management processes to meet organisational performance plans within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain systems for measuring necessary aspects of quality management.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for line management of site Quality Assurance Officers.
  • Issue, review and approval of QMS documentation, including protocols, specifications, workbooks, SOPs, validation protocols, and all other QMS documentation.
  • Perform and maintain core site activities of the QMS including CAPAs, Investigations, Complaints and Change controls.
  • Perform internal audit/inspections in adherence to audit schedule.
  • Lead and maintain the company certification to ISO9001, ISO13485 and ISO17025 accreditation.
  • Maintenance of the IVD technical files and MHRA registration for regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee product registration in relation to CE marked IVD products.
  • Control and maintenance of QPulse quality management system. Maintain KPIs from QPulse activities on a monthly basis.
  • Perform Quality and QPulse training and support.
  • Implementing and maintaining a Quality Risk Management system to ensure that risks are adequately controlled.
  • Ensuring that the supplier and subcontractor audits are performed and reported as scheduled.
  • Reviewing and controlling archiving of Quality & Technical records.
  • Lead the preparation and facilitation of client/regulatory audits.

Essential Skills & Experience required:

  • Previous experience within a science industry desirable.
  • Experience of ISO9001, ISO13485 & ISO17025 standards.
  • Use of QPulse - Quality Management System or equivalent electronic management system desirable.
