Product Manager - Megazyme Product Line - China
The Product Manager – is responsible for managing the company’s Food Safety platform products throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Technical Services and Operations to deliver winning products. The product manager is responsible for pre-sales support, campaign & activities, marketing strategy & plan, project execution and market development. The product manager shall maintain an intimate understanding of products as it relates to the food industries. This includes understanding the needs, issues and the competition to quickly identify opportunities, threats, and leverage our strengths while influencing the overall product strategy. The product manager shall be the “go to” person for the product and shall work cohesively with cross functional teams (Technical Support, Marketing, Sales, Operations) to ensure that the products are delivered on time and within budget.

职责/ Duties
Product Stewardship
- Defines the product strategy and roadmap
- Develops the core positioning for the product
- Gathers, analyzes and disseminates competitor product information
- Sets pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Monitors, and tracks key performance indicators and financial performance of the product; forecasts future performance and executes proactive measures to attain product and financial goals.
- Identifies customer and prospect problems and market opportunities
- Provides input to marketing for the go-to-market plan
- Briefs and conducts periodic product training to sales force
- Collaborates and aligns with the commercial sales and marketing teams to execute annual marketing strategy.
- Analyzes and reports market, competitive, application trends and workflow opportunities.
- Keeps abreast of developments in the rapid microbiology market arena by maintaining communications with experts, regulatory agencies, and organizations and reading published literature.
Product Administration
- Submits monthly unit forecasts to drive purchasing plan and attends monthly sales and operations meetings
- Generates and distributes customer product notification letters (recall, product issue)
- Manages kit inserts, packaging and labels (creating new, updating existing and translations) for responsible product line
- Manages forecasts and inventory levels when there are supply issues (operation, technical)
- Manages and updates technical data and addresses technical questions with sales and customers.
- Create and tracks product documentation (bill of materials, document request forms, etc.) through the system.
New Product Development
- Defines market need for new products and product advances/improvements
- Develops and maintains all documentation related to new product development/product advancements including: assigning product names/numbers; defining and developing packaging, labels, kit inserts, catalogue pages, product components and end user equipment and data packs
- Coordinates team meetings and maintains documentation related to meetings (record and post meeting minutes)
- Initiates and finalizes Bill of Materials and Cost of Goods
- Creates and manages product development and launch schedule and timelines globally

Education and/or Experience: Master and above degree, major in biology, emzyme biology. Business-to-Business project and product management experience in a company that operated within a product management structure and marketing principles, product launch activities and sales support. Knowledge of applied emzyme biology for food industry/food safety preferred.

Language Skills: Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
