We are currently looking to recruit an Inside Sales Representative to join our highly successful European Channel management team of our award-winning business at Auchincruive near Ayr. The successful candidate will deliver on objectives, including sales, market intelligence, new business & market/segment identification and alignment with overall Regional & Global Objectives.

Reporting to the Division Manager, Channel Management, Europe and liaising with relevant employees in the areas of Sales & Marketing, Product Management and Technical Services you will be responsible for maximizing sales of Megazyme products to defined customers in the assigned territory primarily through the use of telephone, video conferencing (eg Teams) and electronic correspondence.

The main features of the role are:

  • Responsible for maintaining and driving sales growth through the assigned territory via a mixture of direct and distribution channels.
  • Receive and respond rapidly to customer enquiries, using all resources available.
  • Be responsible for the first level of customer support regarding technical issues, complaints and product applications.
  • Extensive use of CRM providing updated and accurate information.
  • Assist with general financial management of the territory, including setting budgets, obtaining forecasts, preparing reports as required.
  • Market research follow up on mailings.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous sales experience in technical sales or food related sales desirable.
  • Life science, food related or other technical degree desirable.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written skills essential).
  • Must be highly motivated, drive with excellent organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team, as well as own initiative.
