We are currently looking to recruit a Customer Services Representative to join our award-winning business at Rochdale. Our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAI) territories for Neogen, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 1,800 people worldwide.

This is an office-based role where you will use your skills and experience to process sales orders and export paperwork, initially for the EU customers. The role will develop with you supporting new customers in Africa, Middle East, and Asia, working closely with internal and external suppliers. Orders are shipped by truck or ocean containers and you will work with freight forwarders to ensure timely collections and delivery of products.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Service in a team of four, you will be responsible for the effective accurate processing of all EU, UK, and Export orders with the specific objective of ensuring the highest level of service to the customer. Additionally you will cover other desks during holiday and sickness in a varied and challenging role.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing of EU & Export Orders, and support of those customers throughout the sales process.
  • Preparation of documentation and processing letters of credit, bill of lading and commercial invoices
  • Keep customers up to date on any back orders or delays
  • Liaison with Operations & Despatch Teams
  • To arrange collection and shipment of orders
  • The processing of proforma invoices and Letters of credit transactions
  • Receive credit application agreements and work with the accounts department to ensure timely set up of new customer accounts
  • Liaise with Accounts department to assist in resolving issues when customer accounts are placed on hold
  • Ensuring SageCRM database is updated and maintained with correct data for companies and contacts, including special pricing certification and GDPR
  • Report and log any non-conformance or transit damages, entering customer complaints and ad-hoc information to SageCRM / Q pulse
  • Provide desk cover for customer service team including telephonist and reception
  • Effective communication and service to Territory Managers
  • To deal with all customer queries in a timely and efficient manner, providing a high standard of customer service

  • Export documentation
  • Freight management
  • Strong IT, communication and team work skills
  • Experience of Sage 200 and an additional language would be beneficial
