We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to join our award-winning business in Kerala.

Our team supports the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian (EMEAI) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top performing NASDAQ listed business employing over 2,000 people worldwide.

The work itself is vital and brings with it the opportunity to succeed and to progress with a great organisation which leads the market in its field.

This role requires an individual who can work well on their own initiative and as part of a team, responding directly to the Customer Relationship Manager.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Calls on customers and prospects in the field and by telephone, e-mail and fax to identify customer needs and specifications, informs them of new and existing products/services, and explains characteristics and benefits.
  • Develops lists of prospects from trade and professional association membership lists, directories, other public records and from referrals.
  • Communicates with existing customer base on a consistent basis to:
    1. monitor customer satisfaction;
    2. resolve customer problems and concerns; and
    3. monitor competitive position.
  • Achieves or exceeds personal sales budgets.
  • Secures, records, and places orders with others for fulfillment; arranges and confirms delivery dates.

Knowledge, skills and experience required includes:

  • Prior experience in business development
  • Scientific industry background
