DeciMax Soft Bait

LEXINGTON, Ky., Aug. 17, 2017 — Neogen is excited to announce the launch of DeciMax® Soft Bait, an effective rodenticide bait that combines superior palatability with the flexibility to use in extreme weather conditions.

DeciMax Soft Bait uses the active ingredient bromadiolone, a second generation anticoagulant, to effectively control rats and mice. The new rodenticide has been shown to be very palatable; the product is produced using the highest quality ingredients, which include food grade wheat flour, chopped grain, soft lard and synthetic peanut butter flavoring.

DeciMax Soft Bait is easily secured on a skewer or rod inside a bait station, and can be used indoors or outdoors for effective rodent control. The new rodenticide will stay pliable in cold conditions because of the soft lard contained in the formulation, and will not melt off a rod in heat due to its paper sachet encasement.

The active ingredient bromadiolone has been shown effective in the control of both rats and mice, and its toxicity profile shows rodents require less than 30% of their daily food consumption to ingest a lethal dose. DeciMax Soft Bait is sold ready to use in 0.35 ounces (10.00 grams) of bait per sachet and contains 0.005% bromadiolone. The soft baits are made without wax to ensure more activity per placement. The product is available in 22-pound pails.

Neogen’s complete line of rodenticides also includes Havoc® brodifacoum-based products, Di-Kill® difenacoum-based products, Ramik® diphacinone-based products, CyKill™ bromethalin-based products and Prozap® zinc phosphide products. Neogen rodenticides are available in a variety of formats, including blocks, bars, pellets, place packs and meal bait.

Neogen Corporation (Nasdaq: NEOG) develops and markets products dedicated to food and animal safety. Neogen’s Animal Safety Division markets a complete line of diagnostics, veterinary instruments, veterinary pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, disinfectants and rodenticides.
