New Havoc-XT combines superior shape, durability and lethality

LEXINGTON, Ky., June 28, 2004 — Neogen Corporation’s new Havoc-XT Blok combines a powerful active ingredient with a superior shape and weather resistance to form an outstandingly useful and effective rodenticide.

Havoc-XT is a uniquely-shaped low profile block that fits better than competitive products in narrow cracks and crevices, and features many sharp edges and grooves for easy gnawing. Because of superior durability and weather resistance, Havoc-XT is one of only a few products approved for sewer and drain usage.

Havoc-XT combines brodifacoum, the strongest anticoagulant rodenticide available, with a special mixture of highly attractive and palatable bait ingredients. The result is a superior, single-feed rodenticide with a bait delivery system that is unique to Havoc, and is unsurpassed by any other brand. Research has shown that as little as 2% of Havoc-XT’s 20-gram block is lethal to a 25-gram mouse, and as little as 7% of the block is lethal to a 250-gram rat. Rodenticides featuring other active ingredients require much higher doses to be effective.

Havoc-XT is intended for the control of rats and mice in and around homes, and industrial, commercial, agricultural and public buildings. The product can be easily secured in a bait station, or on rods or wires, to keep the product securely in place. The product is also dyed a dark blue to minimize its attractiveness to non-target species, and contains Bitrex, a powerful human taste deterrent.

Havoc-XT adds to Neogen’s complete line of rodenticides that also includes Havoc pellets, Ramik diphacinone nuggets, bars and disposable bait systems, and Prozap zinc phosphide pellets.
